Prerequisites:

Superior grades (at least 95% recommended) in each of Pre-Calculus A 120 and Pre-Calculus B 120; or a grade of 85% or higher in a Grade 12 Math course that contains some Calculus; or consent of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

Text:

“Calculus with Applications”, by Peter D. Lax and Maria Shea Terrell, Springer, 2nd edition, 2014
This isn’t a required text, but I will follow the same approach and make lots of references to it.

Grading:

25%	Assignments (weekly)
15%	In Class Work
20%	Midterm Exam (In class, Week of 21 Oct, 2019, probably the monday)
40%	Final Exam (Time and location TBA)

Assignments:

Assignments will be delivered and submitted via crowdmark (www.crowdmark.com)
I will attempt to keep assignments due on the same day each week (date to be discussed in class)

In Class Work:

A variety of labs, problem sets, and quizzes will be run throughout the term.
It is important to let me know if you will miss classes for any reason.
Contact me as soon as you know you will miss a class, or as soon as possible after any missed classes (by email please).

Examinations:

The midterm and final exam will be closed book.
You must be prepared to show your student ID card during these events, as I may not be the one in charge of the exam.
